If you ask me about my childhood, I can tell you I don’t remember my life before my brother. All my memories are with him and that’s what I hope Adam feels when he’s older. The gap between my brother and me is almost the same as Adam & Hana.

We live in such a beautiful city and sometimes it takes your bestie coming over to fully appreciate how truly wonderful Dubai is ❤

Last time she was here for more than 4 days was during my wedding in 2013, and every time she came after that it took me back to my wedding days. Every time I see her it reminds me of how much fun my wedding was, how beautiful it was and how it got us even closer together. She’s the icing on my cake ❤

There’s no feeling that could compare to holding your little one for the first time after they’re born. It’s the beginning of a beautiful bond. Mothers are always encouraged to do skin to skin which has extraordinary benefits to both mum and baby. It’s creates a bond and makes the baby feel safe, amongst many other things. But what about the fathers? Shouldn’t the bond between them and their little one be as equally important?

There are two times of people in this world; people who have breakfast like there’s no tomorrow and people who have breakfast with lunch in mind. Me? I’m in between 😀

We planned to go to Sikka Cafe for breakfast with my bestie Fattouma who is here from Sweden for just 7 days. Sikka Cafe is located in City Walk Jumeirah. As it says on their instagram page  it’s “a locally curated concept, where delicious Emirati food meets Indian and Iranian influences”

Park With Adam & Hana

Going to the park with Adam is like getting ready for a marathon! I mean literally! Whereas Hana just falls asleep after few minutes 😄

We found a new park that so far has no dogs whatsoever, it’s a bit of a walk from our house (compared to the other one) but it is definitely worth it. Adam can play in peace and we can feel safe while he does so!

Dear Dog Owners

I understand how important it is for you to take your dogs out, whether for walks or just to play. When you live in a community it’s also important to keep in mind your fellow residents.

I personally have nothing against dogs, I’m just frustrated with you owners. I’ll tell you why, and I hope you don’t take this the wrong way.

It’s that time of the year when everyone makes new year’s resolutions that they’ll probably abandon by first week of January? Or second week? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been guilty of that myself!

The best has to be my mum’s though! She decided last year that 2016 she would be a vegetarian…. well she was one for 4 days then Hardees double cheese burger happened! 😄 (Sorry maa, I love you❤)

The excitement of traveling with my son alone for the first time was indescribable. Seeing him experience a new country, new people and new environment is something I always want my kids to go through . I want them to learn to appreciate different cultures and lifestyles and what better way to start then going back to where their mother was born – Tanzania ❤❤❤
