Fashion Forward 2015

Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD) was created to provide a platform for Middle Eastern fashion designers to showcase their designs in an event with international & local clients/guests. It was a pool of talented designers putting forward their latest collections. From catwalks to presentations, FFWD was full of surprises & great speakers.

Day One

First Catwalk I attended was Starch Foundation. Starch Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization that helps launch Lebanese designers. This year Nour Najem The Label, Mira Hayek & La Terre Est put on a fantastic collection.

Did someone say Huda Kattan? I was so glad I attended the “Building A Brand: The Huda Beauty Story” What a great speaker. Huda Kattan is a blogger turned Business Woman/Mompreneur. I absolutely loved every word she said. Not only was she inspiring, she was determined & ambitious. Huda stocks her lashes in several outlets in Dubai, including Sephora across all malls + Sephora US.

Day Two

Taller Marmo! What amazing designs. I absolutely loved every dress, skirt & top from their collection. Taller Marmo is a Dubai based brand founded by designers Riccardo Audisio and Yago Goicoechea.

Next show I attended was a presentation by Elio Abou Fayssal Couture, Lebanese designer.  Absolutely stunning!!  Soon as you entered the room, was this breath taking gown from S/S ’16 collection Sakura inspired by the tale of the Goddess Sakura. It oozes elegance. It was absolutely dream like. The Sakura collection is definitely fit for a goddess!
